Eve Roth Lindsay is a New York–born fashion designer, image consultant, writer and lecturer based in Hong Kong, and the founder of Savvy Style and Colour Me Beautiful HK
Eve Roth Lindsay brings a lifetime of experience in fashion, image and style. Her international journey as a fashion designer, lecturer and writer has taken her to fashion capitals around the world and inspired her to create her Hong Kong consultancy, Savvy Style. While she is no longer taking on image consultancy work, Eve continues to work on selected writing and lecturing projects.
For more than twenty years through Savvy Style, Eve worked as a personal and corporate image consultant, helping people feel at ease in their clothes and in front of others. Her consultations covered colour, style, wardrobe editing, makeup and personal shopping for women, men and teens, as well as workshops and presentations for companies and schools.
In 2001, Eve founded Savvy Style and Colour Me Beautiful HK, training and certifying more than 100 consultants across Asia and building a large image consultancy. Alongside her company, she has enjoyed supporting charities, schools and non‑profit organisations by helping to raise funds and awareness.
With a background in fashion design and psychology, Eve’s passion for fashion developed early. She began in the New York fashion industry, then moved to Esprit Inc. in San Francisco as a designer working across Asia – spending time in India, buying fabrics in Japan, designing sweaters in Taiwan, Korea and China, and travelling regularly to Europe.
Eve made Hong Kong her home in 1980, becoming Director of Design for Allan Zeman. In 1996, she was invited to lecture in Fashion Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She later expanded her experience in retail, marketing, photo shoots and fashion writing as Chief Fashion Designer for Cozzi International, part of the Fairton/Max Mara group
Her expertise has led to regular media work, including a decade‑long weekly “Glamour Guru” column for the South China Morning Post and appearances on RTHK radio programmes.
Creativity runs in Eve's family. Her father, Arthur Rothstein, was a renowned American photographer, and her mother, Grace, also built a career in photography. Her brother Rob Stoner made his mark in rock 'n' roll, her sister Annie Segan is director of the Arthur Rothstein Legacy Project and her brother Dan Rothstein is a jazz and classical guitarist.
Eve is happily married to David Lindsay, and they have two stylish daughters, Asia and Jasmine
These days, Eve treats Savvy Style as a home for her archive, her writing and lecturing, and any future creative adventures that may come along.
